Van Els Terlouw in de USA ontving ik een lange lijst van Amerikaanse filmsterren, die in de IIe Wereldoorlog gevochten hebben….!
Een deel van de lijst heb ik weggelaten, omdat hun naam mij persoonlijk niets zei…, maar het zijn er toch nog heel veel geworden…!
De Lijst van Els was zonder foto’s, maar ik heb op internet de bekende hoofden kunnen vinden en menigeen zal deze stoere helden van de tweede wereldoorlog en van de vele mooie en spannende films oa uit de jaren ’50 en ’60 herkennen, denk ik…:

Elvis seems to have been left off this list…! He was in the militairy service (Texas and Germany) a 1958-1960 ( just like me…!) and lived from 1935 till 197
Ik heb er nog 1 vergeten…hier komt hij:
Brigade Generaal James (Jimmy) Stewart hier op de foto in 1960.
Hij leefde van 1908 tot 1997 en was toen 89 jaar.
In 1941 ging hij het leger in en werd Piloot van een Bommenwerper en voerde veel missies uit boven Duitsland.
Mijn neef Ab Carels was en is een groot fan hem en ik ook…. en wie niet?
1 van zijn mooiste films vind ik persoonlijk “The Glenn Miller Story”..!
